I Was Charged Twice
If you believe you were charged twice, don’t panic. In most cases, what appears to be a duplicate charge is actually a temporary authorization or a separate transaction.
Review the common reasons below before contacting support.
1. Pending Authorization vs. Completed Charge
When you place an order, your bank may place a temporary authorization hold on your card.
- An authorization is not a completed charge.
- It may appear as “pending” in your bank account.
- Pending authorizations usually disappear within a few business days.
If a payment attempt fails and you try again, you may temporarily see two pending authorizations. One will automatically drop off.
2. Subscription Renewal
If you are enrolled in a subscription, recurring billing occurs automatically according to your selected schedule.
Sometimes customers forget they are subscribed and mistake a renewal charge for a duplicate charge.
You can review your subscription status inside your account.
3. Two Separate Orders
If you clicked checkout more than once, refreshed the page, or placed an order from multiple devices, two separate orders may have been created.
Check your email or account order history to confirm whether two order numbers were generated.
4. Installment Payments (Sezzle / Afterpay)
If you used Sezzle or Afterpay, your installment provider may charge according to their payment schedule.
Installment payments are managed directly by the provider, not by us.
5. Currency Conversion Differences
If you are purchasing from outside the store’s default currency, your bank may display a converted amount.
Foreign transaction or exchange rate adjustments are determined by your financial institution.
